Practical Psychology for the 21st Century Individual. Is about delivering the latest useful tips, guides and tutorials in practical psychology and how to make the most out of anything that of your most interest and value.
Bard Psychology Program faculty and students seek to answer questions about the workings of the brain; the interactions of brain, mind, and behavior; the person in social context; the development of the person throughout childhood and adulthood; the nature of thinking and language; and the problems and pathologies that people develop, along with methods of treating them.
Psychology is the study of behavior and experience, from love to aggression, from the first babbling of infants to creativity, from sexuality to the physiology of taste. Faculty members in Psychology have a wide range of research interests, including social and cognitive development, memory, language, animal learning, social stereotyping, the self-concept, the resolution of conflict, and behavioral neuroscience. Non-majors may elect to fulfill the College Science Requirement.
